Correcting the shape or position of the ears through a plan that respects facial proportions.
What it can address
Otoplasty changes the shape, position or size of the ears. It is commonly used for prominent ears, while assessment can also address asymmetry, malformations or earlobe injuries.
Surgical consultation
The surgeon examines ear shape and the aim of correction. The plan is adapted to anatomy and age, and incision placement is explained beforehand. Suitability is determined individually.
Protection during recovery
A protective headband may be needed during recovery, including at night. Your surgeon specifies its duration and care instructions to protect the operated area while it heals.
