Cookies and local storage
You choose separately whether the Google map loads and whether to allow Meta measurement. You can change your preferences at any time, and forms also work when these options are declined.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small records stored by the browser and sent to the relevant domain when accessed. Local storage keeps data in the browser for website scripts to read; it does not automatically expire like a cookie. Rules on access to your device also apply to similar technologies, not only cookies.
Storage strictly necessary for the service you request and for remembering your choice is separate from options for external content and measurement. Optional features remain off until you consent. A legitimate interest does not replace the consent needed for optional storage or access on your device.
2. Choosing and remembering preferences
You can accept the available options, decline while keeping only what is necessary, or customise external content and measurement separately when available. Accept and decline have equal prominence. You can reopen Cookie preferences at any time, including from this page; no form submission is needed to change your choice.
The preference is saved on this domain in local storage under avi-cookie-consent-v2. It contains the preference version, service and pixel configuration, save time and choices for external content and measurement, without a name or phone number. The choice is valid for 180 days. After that period or a configuration change, a new choice is needed. Consent from the previous version does not automatically authorise the new PageView measurement on public pages.
The record can physically remain in the browser after 180 days until replaced or cleared with site data, but it is no longer treated as valid consent. If the browser blocks saving, your choice applies to the open page and may be requested again on a return visit. Preferences belong to the browser and domain in use, not all your devices.
3. Cookies necessary for forms and administration
On the website domain, avi_lead_site and avi_lead_vip confirm a saved enquiry or VIP registration. Each expires 30 minutes after issue. They contain a signed receipt with the submission identifier and type, without a name, phone number, email or message. They are HttpOnly cookies, inaccessible to page scripts, and allow the correct confirmation to be displayed.
For staff using administration: avi_admin_access holds the access session for up to one hour; avi_admin_refresh allows the session to be renewed and is valid for seven days from issue or renewal; avi_admin_pkce and avi_admin_auth_flow last one hour and support access confirmation or password recovery. They are HttpOnly cookies on the website domain used only by administrative flows. Signing out removes them.
4. External content: Google Maps
The embedded map is provided by Google and stays blocked until you accept the external-content category. Consent permits your browser to connect to Google to display the map. Google may receive your IP address, browser information and existing identifiers and may use its own cookies or other storage. Details of Google's purposes and durations: Google privacy and Google cookies.
Withdrawing consent removes the embedded map from the open page and prevents it from reloading without new consent. It cannot retrieve data already sent or erase cookies on Google's domains; use your browser and Google account settings for those. The clinic address and the link to open Google Maps separately remain available.
5. Meta measurement, only after consent
Meta Pixel 857348034101658 measures visits through PageView on public pages, including the VIP List, only after you accept the measurement category. Lead and CompleteRegistration are additionally sent for confirmed enquiries and registrations on eligible thank-you pages. Administration, APIs and missing pages are excluded. The script is not loaded before consent, and there is no tracking image that bypasses this choice when JavaScript is disabled.
Events include the public address visited and may include accepted advertising parameters and the visit's origin. Meta also receives technical information such as the IP address, browser and cookie identifiers. Form entries and clinician or treatment selections are not added to events. The integration disables automatic configuration and automatic data matching; if it cannot confirm matching is disabled, it does not send events. Provider policy: Meta cookies.
After consent, Meta may set the _fbp cookie on the website domain to identify the browser for measurement, and _fbc to associate a visit with an advertising click. The Meta code checked uses a duration of 90 days from creation or renewal; browser settings may shorten it or block storage. Cookies and accounts on Meta domains are also governed by Meta's service settings.
Depending on the browser and the visit's origin, Meta code may use local storage on the website domain: multiFbc for up to five click identifiers, filtering entries older than 90 days when updated; lastExternalReferrer and lastExternalReferrerTime for the origin category and its timestamp, checked for expiry after 90 days when the module runs again; and aemSource for an advertising-source marker, with no automatic expiry specified in the code checked. These records can remain in the browser between visits until cleared or site data is deleted.
The local storage key avi-measured-submissions-v1 retains random submission identifiers and measurement times only after consent, to prevent duplicate conversion counting. They are treated as valid for 24 hours and removed at the next measurement check; the record may remain in the browser if you do not return.
On withdrawal, the website stops sending new events, sends revocation to any already loaded script and clears the local deduplication record. It attempts to remove accessible _fbp and _fbc cookies on its own domain and the local keys multiFbc, lastExternalReferrer, lastExternalReferrerTime and aemSource. You can also clear site data in your browser. Withdrawal cannot erase data already received by Meta or cookies on other services' domains, and does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
6. External links and browser controls
The WhatsApp button opens WhatsApp AVI directly. It does not load a WhatsApp widget or script on the website. Opening it or an external Google Maps link takes you to a separate service governed by its provider's rules. We do not automatically send form data through these links.
You can block or clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Deleting the preference makes the website ask for your choice again. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent submission confirmation or staff authentication. Declining external content or measurement does not block the form and does not automatically withdraw consent to VIP communications; contact the clinic for that.
